Thanks go to Guest2.5 for bringing this movie to my attention. This inventive, original and refreshing film has appeared at many festivals and garnered a lot of awards.

We are in a bleak future where acid is raining from the sky. Red cockroaches are showing up everywhere and children are disappearing. A man meets a mysterious woman who turns out to be his long dead sister. They copulate. And dark secrets are revealed.

Putting aside the sci-fi elements and intriguing atmosphere of mystery, this is one of the best incest-themed movies I have seen. It begs some very interesting questions such as...well I already forgot what they are but they sure were interesting. So go ahead and watch the movie.

Nudity-wise, there is not a lot of bare skin here but the filmmaker did a great job building up the sexual tension that leads to a great non-nude sex scene involving the use of ketchup, which reminds me of the butter scene in Last Tango in Paris.

After watching Tunisian women completely unveiled in Asfour Stah (see previous post), I googled for some articles on the subject of Muslims and pornography. It turned out, unsurprisingly, that pornography is a big No No in Islam. Check out this article.

Among all the citations from the Quran, there is this one saying of the Islamic Prophet that I find quite interesting:

Seems a bit extreme, ain't it? Now then, if you examine that statement from a medical point of view, you would see it was clear that the poor Prophet was suffering from a severe case of Scopto-kolbo-phallo-xenophobia, which is an unfortunate combination of the following phobias:
-Scoptophobia: Fear of being seen or stared at.
-Kolpophobia: Fear of genitals, particularly female.
-Phallophobia: Fear of penis, especially erect.
-Xenophobia: Fear of strangers or foreigners.

I believe that to believe in something or someone is a good thing, but to blindly follow the advices of some phobia-ridden bloke from 1 500 years ago is, it seems to me, inadvisable. Apparently, The Prophet also suffered from an irrational fear of exposing and/or looking at the female thigh, a phobia for which I have found no name. He sure was unique in that way.

I know some of you religious nuts are gonna be very pissed-off because I mocked the Islamic Prophet. If that is the case, I am very happy. But know that I also, on numerous occasions, made fun of other religions, especially Christianity. I just can't help it. Making fun of religion is so much fun!! I believe in equality therefore I shit on all religions equally. The world would be a much better place without any kind of religion.

Now that I have filled my quota of blasphemy for this week, let's talk about Ziab la ta'kol al lahem aka Kuwait Connection aka Wolves Don't Eat Meat (1973). It's a B-grade Egyptian thriller that is by no means a masterpiece of the genre. What makes it interesting, though, is the fact that for an Arabic movie, it contains quite a bit of bare T&A. There really is not much to see here, and after watching it you'd be like "So? What is the big deal?". But remember this was made (and later banned) in Egypt, an Islamic country, and we all know the power that be in those countries all have a giant bug up their arse about boobs in movies.

I would like to say thanks to courageous filmmaker Férid Boughedir for this movie. I live in Montreal, Canada, a wonderful multicultural city. Many a time I have look at Muslim women and wondered at what lies beneath all those veils. Now I know Muslim women also have delightful tits. Color me enlightened.

Watching this movie's got to be one of the most erectionally frustrating moments of my life. There are some powerful cock-teasing scenes here that really drives my little head crazy.
For example, when our young hero tries to open a sleeping girl's gown to get a look at those sweet forbidden fruits, my heart was pounding like crazy and it took all my self-control not to forward to the next scene to see if he succeeds. And then just when those hidden wonders are about to be revealed to my expecting eyes, the girl smiles knowingly in her pretend sleep and turns sideways. Fuck a duck and deep-throat a goat!

There are many erotic scenes like this that will give a whole new meaning to "sexual suspense". For me anyway, 'cause I was dying to look at some pretty Arabic tits :D

Eventually though, we hit pay dirt when the aforementioned beautiful girl opens her wet blouse and...HOLY COW!! It is a brief but incredibly sweet moment. We get more wonderfully frustrating glimpses like this throughout the movie.

In the end, all is well that ends well for our intrepid hero. He gets to get into bed with the girl and we get to see a fade-to-black scene. Screw a kangaroo, 69 a porcupine, fingerbang an orangutang, I have a priapism I can't get an orgasm.
