I am sure you have seen the hardcore Alice in Wonderland: An X-Rated Musical Fantasy (1976). Initially, I thought Alice ou la dernière fugue was a softcore version of Alice in Wonderland with plenty of sex and nudity, simply because it stars Silvia Kristel. But that is not the case here, for this is a Claude Chabrol film. The man doesn't do softcore, he does art. But fear not, because what would a French arthouse film be without some bare titties? Sylvia Kristel has a full-frontal scene as she prepares to take a bath only to be interrupted by some creepy voice.

I read some review in French and it seems this is a little gem well worth discovering if you have the time. There was a time when I used to watch tons of non-mainstream films. I still do now but much less than I'd like. Times change, shit happens, and life catches up with you.

Here it is, the original Emmanuelle, the one that started it all. It has Sylvia Kristel as Emmanuelle and also featuring an 18 year old Christine Boisson in a small role.

Not only I find this to be the best in the series, it's also the first erotic movie I have ever seen. It was responsible for many a solitary seeds spilling in my youth. My favorite scene is the aftermath of a tennis game between Sylvia Kristel and Jeanne Colletin.

Surprisingly, I couldn't find a good rip of this movie anywhere. So I downloaded the dvd5 and made my own rip, resulting in a very big clip (26 minutes - 726mb) but the quality is great. This film deserves it. Audio is in French.
