Lower City is a great Brazilian drama about two lifelong friends who make the mistake of falling in love with the same stripper. Needless to say, that way lies only trouble.

It has the same look and feel as Cidade de Deus (City of God) and is almost as good. If you have watched Cidade de Deus, you know what to expect.

Alice Braga, now that's one hot Brazilian chick. If I was to be stranded on a beautiful island and had a choice between Alice Braga and 2,000 cigarettes, man, I am going to hesitate all of 10 seconds before choosing the cigs.

Nudity: Great. Alice Braga is super hot. Lots of boobies as she strip dances (long scene). Also quick shot of her Brazilian bush as her man prepares to dine at the Y. Makes a man really hungry.

Nome Próprio tells the story of a young, beautiful woman named Camilla who aspires to be a writer. The movie won 2 awards and is critically acclaimed so I guess it has other merits besides Leandra Leal's hot, naked body. I have never been to Brazil but apparently it's very hot over there because Camilla has this habit of writing in the nude, something I am very much in favor of.

Movie connoisseurs will probably have a great time appreciating this movie. Me, I am perfectly content just watching those hot boobs.

Die-hard fans of HK-style gangster flicks will like this movie. For other, it will be just another example of style-over-substance. Even my main man Anthony Wong, an actor who oozes coolness, couldn't help elevate this film above the average.

There is a very brutal fight near the end that somehow reminds me of 300. Except this is no heroic Spartans vs evil Persians fight. It's a fight to the death between two street gangs, one of them has big, scary looking dudes, the other comprises of...skinny kids. Yes, kids. And just because they are kids doesn't mean they won't get chopped into pieces. Definitely not for the squeamish.

On a brighter note, you have Brazilian beauty Tainá Müller doing a nice dance, wearing a thong and body paints that artfully obscure her tits. Fucking art. Later we get a glimpse of her bare breasts as she makes out with Jô Odagiri.

Not much nudity here but I really like this actress. What can I say? I am a sucker for beautiful women. They will be the death of me, I swear.

There can only be one word to describe Malù as Emmanuelle: fantastitslicious. Don't bother looking it up in the dictionary.

Poor Malù is fed up with men who treat her like a piece of meat - and what a fine piece of meat she is, so can we really blame the men? Thus, she decide to swing the other way and see if it changes anything. I think it is a very good decision on her part because we get to watch some erotically charged lesbo sequences. Not enough of them, alas.

Big thanks to rt559 on Cinemageddon for uploading this rare Malu gem. Tradita a morte (1989) is an excellent softcore starring the always desirable Malu as the infamous slut Emmanuelle. It's directed by none other than Pasquale Fanetti, a master of the genre.

It's a damn shame her films don't get the dvd treatment they greatly deserve.

I don't care very much for the lighting. It just gets in the way of the tits. But hey, if the director thought it was artful, who am I to argue?

Video quality is not the best there is and that is a real shame. But this movie, like all other Malù films, is pretty hard to find so let's just be content with what we can get, friends.
