Definitely not one of Tinto Brass's best works. It seems the master has lost his erotic touch, which may explain why he stopped making films after this one. Fallo!, made two years before Monamour, wasn't so good either.

It makes up for the lack of eroticism by having lots of explicit sex and nudity though, so no worry there. Close-up shots of the female rear is also abundant, as usual.

Not breaking any ground for originality, the story is about a woman who is unsatisfied by her husband's sexual performance (or lack thereof) so she has no choice but offering her scabbard to another swordsman.

When the husband finally finds out what a slut his wife is, he starts treating her like one, which is what she wanted all along. And so, they live and fornicate happily ever after. End of story.

The morale is: sometimes you need to treat your woman like the slutful bitch that she is.

Notice my use of the the words "scabbard" and "swordsman". I just found out, via Wikipedia, that the word "vagina" is from Latin, which literally means "scabbard" or "sheath". Learn something new while jerking off, that's my motto.
